Product Details
Sikafloor®-1620 is a high-solids, low-viscosity, moisture vapour control epoxy primer engineered to reduce moisture vapour transmission in concrete substrates. Designed in compliance with ASTM F3010, this advanced multi-component epoxy system forms a dense, low-permeability film that protects resinous floor coatings from moisture-related failures.
Ideal for concrete substrates with moisture content up to 6% (by weight), Sikafloor®-1620 delivers superior penetration, stabilization, and adhesion while resisting high moisture vapour emission rates (MVER up to 25 lbs per ASTM F1869) and 100% relative humidity (ASTM F2170). Its translucent blue trace dye ensures complete and uniform coverage during installation.
With high compressive strength, excellent bond performance, resistance to substrate outgassing, and low VOC content, Sikafloor®-1620 is the ideal moisture mitigation primer for use beneath Sikafloor®, Sikagard®, and Sikalastic® resin flooring systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial environments.
